  • 1. What is Voottoo?
    Voottoo is an online marketplace for artistic expression where you can buy artwork from the world's coolest artists as skins for electronic products, royalty free licenses for download, and commissioned works completely customized by you. Any artist in the world can sign up to sell on Voottoo, so you're getting art from real people - not agency-funded selections made for you.
    2. What is a Skin?
    You can purchase an art as a Skin if the Voottoo artist has enabled this feature for buyers. A Voottoo Skin is a premium adhesive-backed vinyl sheet that is printed with high-resolution art designs and then sealed with a glossy or matte, protective enamel for long-lasting protection. They are specifically designed to fit thousands of electronic products such as iPhones, Blackberries, laptops, etc.
    A Voottoo Skin is installed by removing its protective backing and sticking the skin on the device. It can be installed by just about anyone and does not require any expertise or special tools. The unique, channeled adhesive ensures no air bubbles during installation and no goo or residue when the skin is removed. The skins are thin enough to work with most third-party cases and accessories.
    If you don't see the design you like, you can have one commissioned by one of our artists, suggest Voottoo to your artist friends whose art you'd like as Skins, or contact us with the artist's name and we will reach out to them.
    3. What is a license?
    You can purchase an art as a royalty-free license if the Voottoo artist has enabled this feature for buyers.
    By purchasing a license, you buy a high resolution file of the art that may only be used by one person on one computer with no royalty payments for the following types of applications: advertising projects, book covers, editorials, web pages at small size, promotional material and/or personal use (such as on mugs, t-shirts, posters). An artwork purchased as a license may never be used for re-sale.
    The royalty free license does not transfer any rights and does not permit the selling / bartering / commercializing of the art in any form; and does allow its use to represent the user or their products.

    4. What is a commission?
    If an artist's commission status is open, you can contact him/her through Voottoo to create a customized art for you. Voottoo automates the entire commission process, making it the easiest place online to conduct commissions - it's easy to use, allows you to negotiate the price of commissions, tracks all your commission discussions, tracks payments and balances, allows back & forth conversations with artists. Simply put - no more emails, no more money orders, no more lost conversations, no more tracking whether or not you've paid.
    You can also create public commissions for any artist to bid on! Voottoo will automatically notify the best artists that match your request to help you locate the right artist.
    5. How am I supporting artists when I buy on Voottoo?
    We formed Voottoo because we love art, so rest assured that we get - and share - your passion. We're the only online site to offer artists the kind of online marketplace for artistic expression with as many options, tools, and promotions as Voottoo does. But we really stand out in openness and monetary value. Voottoo is a platform, so ANYBODY can join and sell whatever art they want, as long as it complies with our agreements. We charge artists on Voottoo some of the smallest fees in the industry, so they can keep doing - and making money for - what they do best.
    6. How can I get more involved with Voottoo?

    7. My favorite artist isn't on Voottoo, but I'd like to buy their artwork as a skin/ as royalty-free license/ use your commission service. What should I do?
    Voottoo is growing so help spread the word. Contact your favorite artist and recommend they check us out at www.voottoo.com. We're happy to reach out to talented artists as well, so contact us and tell us about why you think he/she should join the Voottoo community.
    8. How do I install my Voottoo Skin?
    Installing a Voottoo skin on any device is easy. Follow these simple steps:
    1. With clean hands, wipe away oil and dust from the surface of your device. Damp soft cotton or microfiber cloth is best, and never use rubbing alcohol or other chemicals
    2. Carefully remove backing from the skin. Do not remove the clear outer layer from the print - that protects the skin and your device!
    3. Position skin on the surface of your device and press down. If you see any bubbles or wrinkles, simply push them out using the pad of your finger.

    The skin has innovative removable and repositionable adhesive, making it easy to install and just as easy to remove without any residual glue.

    9. How do I remove my Voottoo Skin?
    Your Voottoo Skin should peel off easily just by pulling it gently away from the surface of your device. There will be no residual glue. If you experience some difficulty, we recommend applying a little heat such as with the sun, a lamp or a hair dryer on a low setting.
    10. What materials are Skins made of?
    Skins are made of premium grade, adhesive-backed cast vinyl and you choose to cover it with either a high-gloss or matte, clear protective coating. Each has a vibrant, full color print of the art you select. Skins have an innovative removable and repositionable adhesive, making it easy to install and just as easy to remove without any residual glue. Voottoo skins enable you to express yourself with today's hottest art - they're thin enough to be used with most accessories but thick enough to protect your device from minor scratches.
    11. What are the methods of Payment that Voottoo accepts?
    Voottoo accepts payments through Paypal either from your Paypal account balance or from major credit cards through Paypal.
    12. What is the Shipping method Voottoo uses?
    Orders are shipped daily (Monday - Friday) by Voottoo's manufacturing partner via a variety of methods. The following is the shipping methods and the time frame you can expect when selecting a method.

    All listed shipping times are after production - due to the variations in our product line. While production typically only takes 24 hours, it can stretch longer during the holidays. Rest assured we're working as hard as we can to get your order to you in as little time as possible.
    All orders ship with delivery confirmation and, when applicable, a tracking number. USPS will deliver on Saturdays and will also ship to rural areas and P.O. Boxes without extra charges. Making sure your package arrives quickly and in perfect condition is important to us; all items are shipped in rigid mailers to ensure safe, damage-free delivery.
    13. Do you ship to international locations?
    Yes, absolutely. We ship to our international customers using USPS and UPS (depending on weight) - see below for list. Most international shipments are delivered within 4-6 business days. Rates do not include European Union customs duties, VAT, and any other local taxes and/or duties, if applicable. We attach an international customs declaration to your package and charge you for the cost of shipping your package.

    14. Can I track my skin order?
    For your convenience, our shipping system will automatically email you when your order has shipped, with tracking information (if available).
    15. What is your refund or return policy on Skins?
    If you damage your skin during installation, we'll send you a new piece free - you just cover the shipping charge. Contact us with an email to customer-service@voottoo.com and we will set you up.
