Your Voottoo Profile/Store

On Voottoo, you can make money in three ways (you can do as many of these as is appropriate for your art business) -
1. Offer Skins for electronics personalized with your art. You receive a percent of the final sale price when your images are used
2. Sell royalty-free licenses to your art / images. The buyer downloads the image after paying for the license.
3. Take on commission contracts and manage your commissions business.
Once logged in, you can set up your Voottoo store. It's FREE! to set up a store in Voottoo. Add information to your profile and edit it as often as you need to - include an introduction about yourself, describe your style as an artist, explain the types of commissions and the average commission prices you will accept, and enhance your storefront by adding a banner image (approx 860x100) and an avatar (approx 300x300). Then get started by uploading art - images can be sold as skins and/or as licenses, or just placed on display as commission samples

Personalized Skins

Voottoo allows artists to sell their art as personalized art skins for the most popular electronic devices including the iPad, iPhones, iPods, Blackberries, Droids, Kindles, MacBooks, and many more - cellphones, eReaders, laptops and netbooks from brands such as Acer, Apple, Asus, Blackberry, Dell, HP, HTC, Lenovo, LG, Motorola, Nokia, Palm, Samsung, and Toshiba.
Every artist on Vootto can offer art as designs for skins, including you!
It is very simple to enable users to buy your art on skins. During the upload process, just indicate that you desire to sell that image on skins. It is that simple! And if you change your mind, no problem - just change the settings using the Manage Art feature within your My Account section.

License Your Art

Voottoo allows artists to sell royalty free licenses. (Multi-tiered licensing based on application, period of use, number of uses, etc. to be introduced in the near future). There are no requirements on image size or resolution, but higher sized images command higher prices because they can be used for larger and more applications. (Read the "Upload Art" section of the FAQ for file size and formats)
Voottoo does not set pricing for royalty free licenses - you price them as you please based on size, quality, uniqueness, popularity of the art, and your assessment of their application (soon to come - some tips on pricing. Stay tuned!). If you intend to offer the same image as a design for skins, there are image resolution, size, and file format requirements (read under Skins below).
Read both the Content Submissions Agreement and Content License Agreement to understand permissions and restrictions.

Commission

Voottoo offers the first online commissions engine. And, Voottoo charges ZERO fees for commissions for all membership levels (this includes an introductory zero fee offer to basic members as well). You can manage all your commissions on Voottoo - it's easy to use, allows you to negotiate the price of commissions, tracks all your commission discussions, tracks payments and balances, and allows back & forth conversations with commissioners.
